I'm Oscar Tregaskis-Jago, director and licensed builder at OTJ. I spent 11+ years training and working as a qualified carpenter before becoming a certified Passive House tradesperson, a qualification I've now held for 3+ years.
Somewhere along the way, building stopped being just a trade and became closer to an obsession — one where every tool has a place. On my sites that shows up everywhere: an organised site, tools cleaned and put back, materials protected. It's not fussiness. I work on architecturally designed homes across Tasmania, and I build them to perform — genuinely warmer in winter, cooler in summer, quieter, and cheaper to run than a standard build.
